TGM Vol.2 Chapter 14 – The Truth About Qu Ru (1)

The six of them flew together with their swords in the direction of the Sea Bowl Mountain. Last time there was no preparation, they rushed through it recklessly, and suffered a big loss. But this time, they all brought everything they needed with them and flew their swords to the back of the mountain, where they stopped.

It’s that smell again. Ling Long covered her nose and frowned, “I killed so many yesterday and there are still some today.”

Yu Sifeng made a gesture to Xuanji and she immediately understood. The six of them dispersed and formed a big circle in the air, preparing for a fight. Xuanji took out small firecrackers from her pocket, lit them and threw them down.

There was another ‘bang’, and it was as bright as daylight everywhere, and on the mountainside, there were countless black dots, all of them three-headed Qu Ru birds It was obvious that killing a large number of them yesterday had no effect, and they were gathering here again today.

Stimulated by the light, the Qu Ru birds spread their wings and flew together. The six of them were about to wait for them to come up and kill them, but they found that these birds were not like yesterday, but were hovering low in the sky, croaking and croaking, and then descending again in a short while, making no sound.

“Yo, they know what we are doing!” Ling Long teased.

“Yes, they were scared by the Shaoyang Sect.” Lu Yanran snorted on the side.

Linglong pretended not to hear. When Xuanji saw that the Qu birds didn’t fly up, she simply lit a few more firecrackers and threw them all down, causing a chaotic crackling sound and a lot of slapping. Everyone felt the fishy smell blow further, and the birds flew up again.

“Spread out!” When Yu Sifeng cries out, the six of them retreat together, surrounding a large number of Qu Ru birds in the middle. For a time, the sword fight was dazzling, like a steel net was placed on the head. Qu Ru, that accidentally hit it, were either dead or injured.

Ling Long has yesterday’s experience, and now she is no longer afraid, she can almost kill all the monsters that come her way. The Golden Sword in her hand seems to have sensed the excitement of it’s master, and she makes a clear cry. Among the sword light, only hers is the most gorgeous golden arc, the sword’s light is so confusing that it seems like a steel net covering the head, and Qu Ru is either dead or injured.

When Lu Yanran saw her from afar, she couldn’t help laughing and said, “Miss Linglong, why don’t you relax? These birds are similar to hens, no matter how much you kill, it’s useless. You’re not going to dirty your precious sword.”

Ling Long was already angry at her for provoking her, so she shouted, “Shut up! If you’re afraid, go back to your master! Don’t creep around here!”

“Hey, don’t talk to me like that!” Lu Yanran was also angry, her pretty face like a layer of frost.

“You’re the one who needs to learn respect!” Ling Long’s anger rose further, and with a strong wave of the sword in her hand, the golden light crushes dozens of Qu Ru, but does not disperse and flies straight towards Lu Yanran.

Lu Yanran is not willing to show her weakness, so she makes a sword move and with a twist of her wrist, a dozen streaks of sword energy shoot out, colliding with the golden sword light, and a whirlpool suddenly appeared, rolling the bustling Qu Ru around. The two of them see each other’s attack and are determined to fight to the death, but they don’t care about killing Qu Ru, but sword fighting in the air.

“Ling Long! Don’t complicate things!”

Zhong Min Yan yelled anxiously. Because the circle of six suddenly had two gaps, the remaining four of them have to deal with the Qu Ru, that is running wild, and prevent them from getting hurt.

Ling Long does a beautiful flip in the air, giving way to Lu Yanran’s saber rage, while saying sternly, “You should have told her not to cause any complications! Lu Yanran, I’ve been putting up with you for a long time!”

Ruo Yu was also busy trying to convince Lu Yanran: “Miss Lu! It’s important to take care of the demons right now, so don’t lose too much for too little…”

“You all saw it. She was the one who pushed me! The Shaoyang Sect is a big name! I’m not afraid!”

Lu Yanran also refuses to give in.

While the fuss was going on, Xuanji and Yu Sifeng were still busy dealing with the increasing number of Qu Ru, and they were getting tired. As Xuanji’s movements became more and more intense, she felt that the wound on her back had broken open again, and her wrist went limp, almost dropping her sword. As she saw several Qu Ru flying behind her, she gritted her teeth and fought back, secretly gathering her true qi and trying to release her immortal magic.

The Qu Ru that were flying below suddenly smelled her blood and became excited, never to dart in any other direction again, gathering one after another, wanting to wrap Xuanji in like last night.

When she saw that the situation was not good, she threw away her sword in a decisive moment, and with one stroke of her hand, she made a seal and was about to release her magic.

Suddenly she heard Yu Sifeng whistling, three lengths, one short, and then a cloud of silver light jumped out of his sleeve, that rose in the wind like a ghost, jumping around on those Qu Ru’s backs, being caught by it. With a touch, Qu Ru lost their strength and fell.

Yu Sifeng was whistling a weird tine and controlling Xiao Yinhua’s actions. As he stood up, his sleeves stretched out, blasting countless dark blue lights, perhaps it was his hidden weapon, maybe it was poisoned. As the birds jumped around Xuanji, they all fell from the sky.. He flew in, grabbed Xuanji’s hand and lifted her up and put her behind him.

She cried out, “Si Feng…”. Unfortunately, Qu Ru was too loud around her, so he must not have heard her.

Yu Sifeng squeezed her hand with his back hand in front of her, “Did you see Xiao Yinhua?” He asked loudly.

Xuanji was stunned and nodded hurriedly, “I saw it! But… I can’t see clearly…” The two of them are surrounded by a group of Qu Ru birds.

The two of them are surrounded by a swarm of Qu Ruyu birds, who keep biting and gnawing at them, relying on his sword to block them, advancing and retreating in a smooth manner. As he struggles to deal with the many birds, he is still in good spirits and jokes to her, “You’ll be able to see clearly later!”

When Xuanji saw his breathing intensify, she thought it would be hard for one person to fight against so many Qu Ru. However, she had just lost her sword and couldn’t gather her qi to help him. She heard him grunting in her ears, his left arm was abruptly grabbed by sharp claws, and the flesh was torn off. The blood immediately soaked his clothes.

She felt her ears buzzing, her mind in turmoil, helpless and confused. Aunt Hong’s words came to her mind at once: “Xuanji can’t be a burden forever. What if your relatives and friends are in danger for your sake, can you bear to see them die?”

Of course she couldn’t!

Four years ago, she went down the mountain and got drunk, and after years of uncertainty, she finally realized what she was after.

So many people say she has no heart, no purpose, but she wants them all to be happy.

She doesn’t like to see them sad or bleeding.

In fact, what she dislikes most is to be separated from them, for whatever reason. She prefers to be a small backdrop to their happiness, rather than being abandoned or… forced to be apart.

A faint silvery light suddenly appeared in front of her eyes, perhaps it was the moonlight, perhaps it was the glow from the sword in Si Feng’s hand, she was not sure. The scattered qi in her chest was suddenly able to gather together, as if thousands of rivers finally flowed into the sea.

She closes her eyes, makes a seal and recites her gesture, her right hand comes out and her five fingers curl up slightly, like an orchid on the verge of blooming, her fingertips seemingly coated with silver sand, shining brightly.
