TGM Vol.2 Chapter 16 – The Truth About Qu Ru (3)

Since Yu Sifeng was almost out of strength, he couldn’t even hold his sword steady, so it was obvious that he couldn’t investigate any further, so they all agreed that one of them would stay here to take care of him, and the rest of them would go to the Haiwan Mountain to investigate who was controlling the Qu Ru.

Yu Sifeng was too tired to speak, so Zhong Min Yan became the leader of the group, and he instructs, “Xuanji, you stay here and take care of Sifeng. Ruo Yu, let’s plan the order of the action properly.”

Ruo Yu nodded his head, and Ling Long, who was beside her, also said, “I want to start the fight! Take a good look at the man who did this horrible thing!”

Zhong Min Yan glanced at her, sighed secretly in his stomach, but on the other hand, said amiably, “You’re a girl, you can’t be the first. If anything happens, I’ll… how can I explain to my master?”

What’s wrong with being a girl? Ling Long hates it when people look down on her and use the gender distinction to classify her to the weaker side. She was about to argue with him, but saw his gentle look, great pity and tolerance. Where did the anger go, her face turned into a peach blossom color, hemming and hawing for a half day, and finally acquiesced.

Lu Yanran who had been pretending to be dumb by her side, suddenly sighed and said softly, “I’ll stay and take care of Sifeng… just now I used my Qi too much, and my chest hurts.”

Ling Long gave her a glance and sneered, “That’s really bad. Fu Yu Island’s martial arts is just that much.”

Lu Yanran wanted an excuse to stay and be alone with Yu Sifeng, but she was immediately laughed at by Ling Long. She had other problems, but she couldn’t stand to hear others say how bad Fu Yu Island was, so she made a face and said, “I’m fine! Just go! This time I’ll show you what real swordplay is all about!” It means that when I was fighting with her just now, I didn’t show my real skills.

Go ahead and blow! Ling Long didn’t bother to argue with her and rolled her eyes again.

Sometimes, women’s fights are even more cruel and mean. Zhong Min Yan and Ruo Yu looked at each other and confirmed this idea in their minds.

“We’ll go first. Xuanji, you take good care of Si Feng. If there is no accident, we will come back at around midnight. If anything goes wrong, we’ll give the signal, and when you see the signal… you take Sifeng and go back to Zhao’s mansion, don’t force yourself to come after us, okay?”

Zhong Minyan gave a long and heartfelt explanation, not caring whether Xuanji shook her head or nodded – it didn’t make any difference to him, even if she must have forgotten it as soon as she heard it.

Only then did the four of them flew towards the mountain, leaving behind Yu Sifeng, who was lying on the ground, half asleep, and Xuanji, who was dazed with her wounds.

The night was already late, and the moonlight was like water, flowing through the bare, tall branches and swaying sway, all white and silvery. The ground was filled with the dismembered bodies of Qu Ru, and there were also large pieces of blood dried up on the ground, which soon formed a thin layer of ice.

This sight was not pleasant by any means. Xuanji felt a chill seeping through her, and it seemed that the immense qi that had gathered in her chest just now had disappeared. She stretched out her hand in the moonlight in a daze, her fingertips pale white, and the silvery glow was no longer there.

She remembered that when she was at her best, she could only summon three or four fire dragons when her true qi was strong, and that was the limit. Just now…… she really summoned more than ten huge fire dragons? That wasn’t a dream, was it?

If Master knew that she was so popular today, she would only jump for joy, she had finally made a name for herself, although she hadn’t figured out exactly how.

At that thought, she couldn’t help but curl her lips slightly.

“Are you smiling?” Yu Sifeng, who was lying on the ground, suddenly spoke softly.

Xuanji was stunned and hurriedly padded over to him, asking, “Are you awake? How do you feel now? Can you move?”

He shook his head, suddenly sneezed and sighed, “I just feel so cold…

Xuanji realized that he didn’t even put on his jacket, but she just let him lie on the ground and forgot to take care of him. She was so ashamed that she hurriedly put on his bloodstained coat and held his cold hand while transferring her little qi to him.

“Is it better now?”

She asked.

Yu Sifeng, however, laughed lightly and teased, “You’re still the same as before… If no one tells you, you’ll never do it,”

What do you mean? She stared at him blankly.

He lay on the ground like this, looking up at her beautiful silhouette, the skin of the young girl was as white and delicate as lamb’s fat under the moonlight. She hasn’t changed at all, and her eyes were exactly the same as they were four years ago. You can never know whether she is looking at you intently or just in a daze.

“You…” He suddenly whispered, with a hint of charm, “Don’t you want to see me without my mask on?”

She froze again and nodded her head right after, “I’d like to see it, is that okay?”

His voice suddenly contained a smile, “Now…you can’t.”

Sifeng is so weird tonight…Xuanji bit her nails blankly, staring at him, not knowing what to say.

“Actually you could remove it just now when I can’t move, and I won’t know. Why didn’t you remove it just now?”

That is because…

“I…I’m afraid you’ll get angry.” And she didn’t even think of unmasking him herself.

He smiled bitterly in his heart, “Have I ever been angry with you?”

Xuanji hurriedly accepted good advice: “Then…then I’ll reveal it!” After she said, she raised her hand and went to take off the mask.

“Don’t take it off,” he said.

Xuanji was completely confused, he really was strange today! Did Qu Ru hit him in the head? It will be like this then.

Yu Sifeng closed his eyes, took a deep breath, and after a long while, he said softly, “You are really a fool.”

Well, she might have been a fool… Xuanji looked at him speechlessly, and they were both silent for a while.

“Xuanji.” He suddenly moved and gently rubbed the top of his head against her knee, like a wounded cat, “Why… did you forget about me?”

She choked again. There were so many times tonight that she was speechless, and she simply didn’t know how to deal with this complicated situation. The young man sleeping at her feet was very familiar, but why did she find him so strange and even sad?

“I’ll never forget it again,” she said. She could only promise that she would never forget.

“Will there be a future?” He didn’t know whether to ask her or himself, “Chu Xuanji, you are really a heartless person.”

What else could she say?

He suddenly grasped her hand tightly, so tightly that it even made her feel pain. He was silent for a long, long time before he whispered, “Don’t forget me again. If you are… I…”

She suddenly felt that she had done something wrong, very wrong. Although she didn’t understand why, she seemed to be on the verge of losing him. She remembered that afternoon four years ago, when he had looked at her with such intent eyes, gazing at her and only her. She had forgotten that look so easily.

She can’t help but feel a shudder in her heart, a lot of unexplained emotions, she had let down this young man who was looking at her so easily.

“You…I…,” she mumbled, not knowing what to see.

“What did you want to say?” His eyes were surprisingly bright behind the mask, like two stars.

She pursed her lips and whispered, “I… I don’t know…”

He was silent for a long time, and then he suddenly whispered, “Let’s stop talking about this, can you help me sit up?”

Xuanji hurriedly supported his back lightly and lifted him up, and leaned against the tree trunk. Seeing that his body was so soft that he didn’t even have the strength to sit up, she wondered, “What kind of dance did you…just dance?” It was as if he was reciting some odd recipe, and Sifeng always knew things she’d never heard of before.

He laughed quietly, “I won’t tell you.”

Bad man. She looked at him aggrievedly.

Yu Sifeng seemed to be in a much better mood, leaning back against a tree and whistling softly. It was not long before the Xiao Yinhua in his sleeve burst out and danced on the ground in a shimmering silver light, which was very magical.

When Xuanji saw how beautifully it danced, he forgot the weirdness long ago and couldn’t help but clap her hands and laugh.

Yu Sifeng, quietly watching her smile, laughed lightly as well.

“Fool, you are really a fool…”

He murmured, holding her hand tightly.
